ANNUAL FUND
Welcome! Thank you so much for your interest in supporting The Knox School of Santa Barbara. For our school to provide your child with a transformational educational experience, we rely on financial contributions of all sizes from our entire community, including the Board of Directors, parents, grandparents, friends of Knox, alumni, faculty, and staff.
WHY DO ALL INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS CONDUCT AN ANNUAL FUND?
Tuition does not cover all the expenses of the education offered at an Independent school and the Annual Fund uses tax-deductible dollars to fill the gap between what families pay and the actual cost of the education provided.
THE IMPACT OF YOUR GIFT
Every student benefits directly from your gift to the Annual Fund because it supplements 9% of the operating budget. That means it guarantees the Knox School can fund:
-
Recruiting, and retaining teachers who specialize in the education of gifted students
-
Enhancing academic and extra-curricular programs, including electives catered to student interests
-
Professional development
-
Financial assistance
-
Resources and support teachers need to best serve your child
-
A small student-to-teacher ratio
WAYS TO GIVE
Checks:
Payable to The Knox School of Santa Barbara
FACTS:
Payments through the FACTS website
Recurring gifts:
If instead of a one-time donation, you would rather contribute over time, you can let us know you prefer to set-up payments through FACTS. This option allows you to break up your contribution into easy-to-manage increments throughout the year. You can, for example, contribute $1000 over a year, and your monthly payment is only $83.33
Matching gifts:
Thousands of companies have established programs that will match employee charitable gifts. Please ask your employer if your company has such a program. This provides an easy way to increase the value of your Annual Fund contribution. And, by the way, most companies match gifts made by spouses, and some match gifts made by retirees.
Gifts of stock:
Step 1: Please contact our Development Director, Eileen Brennan, at e.brennan@knoxschoolsb.org with the name of the stocks and the number of shares you wish to transfer.
Step 2: Please contact your broker and request that the stock be electronically transferred to The Knox School account.
EVERY GIFT MAKES A DIFFERENCE TO YOUR CHILD(REN)’S EDUCATION
