The Knox School of Santa Barbara (“Knox,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of everyone who visits our website. This policy explains what we collect through knoxschoolsb.org, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
This policy covers our public website only. Information collected through our student information system, enrollment contracts, and family portal is governed separately by our enrollment agreements and school policies.
Information We Collect
When you request information, schedule a visit, begin an inquiry, or contact us through a form on this site, we collect only what you enter. That typically includes your name, email address, phone number, your child’s first name and current grade, and anything you share through the optional message field.
Like most websites, we also collect basic technical information when you visit: browser type, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. We use cookies and similar technologies to do this. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
We do not collect payment information through this website. All tuition payments, application fees, and donations are processed by third-party providers with their own privacy policies.
How We Use Information
We use what you give us to respond to your inquiry, schedule your visit, send admissions information you asked for, and improve our website. We use automatic information to understand how families find and use the site so we can make it more useful.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who We Share Information With
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site and assist us with our admissions and student and family information systems, and only to the extent they need it to do that work for us here at Knox. These currently include Framer, Google Analytics, ParentSquare, Clarity, Constant Contact and FACTS/RenWeb. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the safety of our students, families, or staff.
Children’s Privacy
This website is designed for parents and guardians, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
Photographs of Students
Photographs and videos of Knox students appear on this website. We use these images only with the written permission of a parent or guardian, collected through our annual media release. If you are a Knox parent and wish to change your permission, or if you see an image you would like removed, contact us and we will act on it promptly.
Your Choices
You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. You may also ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, in writing to the address below.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law. To make a request, contact us below.
